I built Tenths for my wife, an attorney who needed a simple, secure way to track billable hours. The big billing platforms charge hundreds per month and are bloated with features solo practitioners don't need. I wanted to make something affordable that respects your privacy. The app pays for itself, the pricing is fair, and I get to help people like her.
In Tenths, open Account and choose Show Backup Phrase. Store that phrase somewhere secure outside the app. Your raw private key stays on your devices; it is not automatically backed up to iCloud Keychain.
Sign in with the same Apple ID to sync encrypted records. To read them on a replacement device, authorize it from another authorized Tenths device or restore with your saved seed phrase. If every authorized device and the phrase are lost, Tenths cannot recover access.
No. Tenths uses end-to-end encryption (ChaCha20-Poly1305) with keys that never leave your devices. Your client names, matter details, and time entries are encrypted before syncing. We cannot decrypt your data, even if compelled by law.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Tenths, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Plus features until the end of your billing period.
Make sure iCloud is enabled for Tenths: Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Apps Using iCloud > Tenths. Also check that you're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices. Syncing may take a few moments on new entries.
No. Tenths works fully offline. Your timers, entries, and exports all work without an internet connection. When you're back online, iCloud syncs your changes across devices.
Yes. Export all your time entries as CSV, Excel, or PDF at any time. Your data is yours. Even on the free tier, you get 1 export per month to back up or transfer your data.
